🎯 Signals & Logic
A Buy Call fires when our day-trading engine sees aligned bullish momentum on the 5-minute timeframe — bullish EMA/SMA crossover, MACD confirmation, RSI(9) below the overheat ceiling, price trading above VWAP, and a valid risk/reward setup of at least 1.5:1 against the nearest support.
A Buy Put fires under the mirror conditions — bearish EMA/SMA structure, MACD negative confirmation, RSI(9) above the oversold floor, price below VWAP, and 1.5:1+ R:R against nearest resistance.
The Signal Checker lets you run our full analysis on demand for any symbol, on any interval from 5-minute to 1-day. It returns the JKM Buy/Sell verdict alongside live TradingView TA, plus stop, target, R:R, VWAP, RSI, pivot points and Fibonacci levels — all in one view.
Before a signal is published, we re-validate it on the 15-minute timeframe. EMA structure and MACD must agree on both the 5-min and 15-min charts. PRO
The Trade Score (0–100) ranks every screened stock by day-trade worthiness. Inputs: volume surge vs 50-day average, intraday range %, signal type bonus, and price tier.
Once a signal fires, it stays recorded for the full trading day even if the price condition reverses. If the original condition breaks afterward, the row is marked stale with the exact broken-at time.
Every 5 minutes from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM Eastern Time, Monday through Friday.
Each morning at 9:25 AM ET a cron job ranks the universe and selects the top 18 symbols most likely to deliver clean intraday setups — based on overnight gap, volume profile, prior-day range, and 20-day momentum. Members of this list earn a 🔥 Hot Today badge and a +20 boost in the Quality Score.
📡 TradingView Auto-Signals
A separate signal pipeline. Our proprietary Pine indicator runs on a Premium TradingView account watching 72 hand-picked symbols across 4 batches. When a setup confirms, Pine fires an alert → Cloudflare Tunnel → our webhook → DB. Sub-second delivery, identical to every subscriber.
TradingView Premium caps Pine scripts at 40 request.security() calls. We split symbols across 4 Pine scripts (~18 each = 72 total): Mega Cap, High-Momentum, Sector ETFs, and Diversified. Each script targets its own universe.
Every TradingView signal gets a 0–100 composite score from 7 inputs: R:R ratio (30 pts), Daily Picks membership (20), VWAP alignment (15), RSI quality (10), time of day (10), S/R source (10), stop tightness (5). The score sorts and color-codes signals on the page (🥇 Premium 80-100 / 🥈 Good 60-79 / 📊 OK 40-59 / ⚪ Weak <40).
Same goal, different pipeline. FMP signals come from our Python scanner reading 5-min OHLCV every 5 minutes for ~650 stocks. TV signals come from Pine Script running on TradingView's real-time servers for 72 symbols — with sub-second latency and no FMP rate limits in the path. Both run side-by-side; you choose which feed to trade from.
No. Pine fires once per direction per symbol per day. The next event is either a reversal (opposite direction — closes the open one and opens new) or an EOD flatten. No re-firing of the same buy/sell on the same bar or subsequent bars.
Nothing automatic — but the signal still appears on the TV Signals page with a 🎯 Trade button. Click it and you're taken to the Add Trade form, pre-filled with all the signal data (symbol, qty, entry, stop, target, instrument type, option fields). Review, edit, confirm.

🌍 Markets & Data
Today: US markets (NYSE, NASDAQ, AMEX). EU and Indian markets are on the roadmap.
~650 stocks by the FMP screener every 5 minutes during market hours, plus 72 symbols watched continuously on TradingView Premium for the auto-signal pipeline. The universe is curated for liquidity and intraday movement.
All quotes, OHLCV, fundamentals, earnings and news come from Financial Modeling Prep (FMP). The TradingView signal pipeline uses TradingView’s own real-time data feed via Pine Script. Our internal data layer is provider-abstracted so we can swap or add providers in future without rewriting business logic.
The 5-min screener and TradingView pipeline freeze at 4:00 PM ET. The Signal Checker works 24/7 — falls back to the most recent trading day’s bars when closed. Pre-market and after-hours bars are also available where FMP provides them.

🤖 Auto-Trading & Alpaca
Auto-Trading lets JKM Trade Tracker place orders on your own Alpaca brokerage account the moment a TradingView signal fires — no manual clicks. You stay in full control: every signal is logged, you set the quality threshold, and you can switch it off anytime. PREMIUM
No — the recommended setup is Alpaca Paper Trading, which is free forever and uses virtual cash. The pipeline is identical to live trading (real quotes, real fills against the live order book) but no real money is at stake. Most subscribers run paper for several weeks before considering live keys.
See the full step-by-step guide here: 📘 Alpaca Setup Guide. Short version: sign up at alpaca.markets, switch the dashboard to Paper, click Generate in the API Keys panel, copy both the API Key ID and Secret Key.
Profile page → 🤖 Alpaca Broker API Keys section. Paste the API Key ID and Secret Key, keep Paper Trading Mode ON, then click 🔗 Save & Test Alpaca Connection. Keys are encrypted before storage.
Yes. Keys are encrypted at-rest in JKM's database, scoped to your user account. Only you can see or use them. Removing them deletes the encrypted blob, not just hides it. JKM only sends order/cancel requests through the Alpaca API — it cannot move money in or out.
Every TradingView signal gets a 0–100 quality score (R:R, Daily Picks, VWAP alignment, RSI, time of day, S/R source, stop tightness). Auto-Trading only fires for signals at or above your Min score threshold (default 75). Lower-scoring signals show a 🎯 Trade button on the TV Signals page so you can review and confirm manually.
For stocks, by price tier (configurable on Profile): ≤$10 → 100 shares, ≤$50 → 10, <$100 → 1, ≥$100 → 1. For options (optional), it uses your budget cap (max premium) to find the closest budget-OTM strike for the upcoming Friday (7-10 DTE).
In priority order: opposite signal (1-5 sec), stop-loss hit (within 5 min), 3:55 PM pre-close flatten for options, 4:00 PM EOD flatten for stocks, or manual close via the 🛑 button. Target hits do NOT auto-close — you let winners run.
Yes. Generate live keys at Alpaca, paste them into JKM, untick the Paper toggle, save. We strongly recommend at least 4 weeks of profitable paper trading first, plus understanding pattern-day-trader rules ($25K minimum balance for >3 round-trips per 5 business days).
Profile → toggle Enable Auto-Trading OFF. Or remove your Alpaca keys entirely (🗑 Remove Alpaca keys link). New signals will still appear on the TV Signals page with manual 🎯 Trade buttons — they just won't auto-fire.
